Congratulations to the first place winners who were rewarded with a kitchen science project kit provided by our MEDB Ke Alahele Grant. The grant not only funds our curriculum and materials but also some wonderful prizes for our students involved in math and science events in our community.
This year Kula had a science fair including all 4th grade students as well as all STRETCH students grades 2-5. It was a huge success with over 80 participants and over 100 people who attended the event. The students blew us away with their interesting projects. Congratulations to the first place winners who were rewarded with a kitchen science project kit provided by our MEDB Ke Alahele Grant. The grant not only funds our curriculum and materials but also some wonderful prizes for our students involved in math and science events in our community.

It was fun doing the science fair because other people got to learn what they might not have know before. For example I never knew that if you put dry ice into soapy water, and you touch it, it turns to fog.

I was really proud of my science project which tested what would happen to gummy bears when they are put in different liquids. I can't wait to participate in the science fair next year!!

The Science Fair was awesome! I had a great time working on my project. I also like to look at other experiments.

Jai had the most awesome display because I never knew dry ice could do that to liquids. His board was really nice too.
