Grades 4-5 went on a walking trip to the Buetler Farm across the way from Kula School. It's a working farm with produce, animals, and christmas trees. They have a beautifully organized farm with many fruit trees, monterey pine trees, persimmon trees, coffee trees, chickens and geese. We got to see, touch and taste different fruits and nuts. We were served banana bread and freshly made juice. They use their fruits and nuts to make many kinds of jams, and other products. During christmas they sell their trees to all the locals. It's amazing what's right in our back yard!

Uncle Hugo just goat a new dog named Nahenahe. She is very friendly and sooooo fluffy. She is as soft as a stuffed animal. She loves kids and she rides around the farm with Uncle Hugo. She keeps Manakin(the older dog) company. Aunty Lani makes the best banana bread!!!
